Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, check, credit and debit cards. You may be able to use your HSA benefit card. I do not currently accept medical insurance.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates are non-refundable and must be present at the time of payment.
Appointment times
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late your massage will be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the original treatment time will be charged.
Cancellation
I ask that you give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A minimum of 24 hours is requested. In the event you do need to cancel with less than 24 hours, please call me. I understand that emergencies happen, but depending on the circumstances you may be charged a cancellation fee.
No-shows
If you do not show up for your appointment, and you fail to cancel, you may be charged the full amount prior to your next appointment.
Accessibility
Please note this office is on the second floor of a building without an elevator. You must be able to ascend and descend a flight of stairs without assistance. If you are unable to do so, I can refer you to another massage therapist who is more accessible.
Scope of Practice
I am a licensed massage therapist with the State of Maine. I do not diagnose or prescribe for any medical conditions. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and follow the AMTA code of ethics.
Client Needs and Boundaries
This is your massage so please tell me what you would like. I am happy to adjust the pressure, music, heat, work on an area longer or move on if you request it. You may refuse any massage methods and can stop the massage at any time. The massage I provide is strictly non-sexual, and any suggestion otherwise, either direct or implied will result in the session ending immediately.
What Should You Wear During the Massage
Most massage techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, you may leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire massage.
